Vertu (31 bd de la Croisette; tel: 04 93 38 09 40) opened this summer offering luxury handmade mobile phones in exclusive materials. Massimo Dutti boutique (34 rue d'Antibes; Tel: 04 97 06 25 80) opened in August, promising a collection of quality clothes. Elle & Elle (18 rue du Bivouac Napoleon) offers a selection of gifts inspired by India and China.
Le Temps des Cerises (82 rue d'Antibes; Tel: 04 93 38 20 37) opened in June. SO Beauty (12 rue Helene Vagliano) is dedicated to aesthetics, slimming, cosmetics and suntanning, with a wide range of services. www.sobeauty.fr
For sunny days, the famous ice-cream maker Vilefeu (3 rue Buttura) reopened its doors on new premises in June.
SPA Cezanne (40 Bd d'Alsace; Tel: 04 92 59 41 00) opened at the Cezanne hotel offering Zen surroundings overseen by beauty specialist Valerie Piacentino.
La Boutique Parfums Martine Micallef opened in April as a must-visit destination for perfume connoisseurs, and featuring the M. Micallef Perfume Bar. www.mmicallef.com
Leather specialist Tentation d'Ev (66 rue Jean- Jaures; Tel: 04 93 99 78 17) has opened with tailor-made pieces. Hairdressing salon Flho (62 rue Jean Jaures; Tel: 04 93 99 00 47) opened in February for both men and women.
65 Croisette (boulevard de la Croisette, Palais Miramar) opened in May, with luxury brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Choo, Malo, Balenciaga, Burberry, Bottega Veneta and Brioni.A l'Olivier (39 rue Meynadier; Tel: 04 93 68 03 43) offers a wide selection for olive oil lovers, including olive oil with French AOC, flavoured oils, plus seed oils and seasonings from the Provence, spices, vinegars and candies.
Santoni (1 bd de la Croisette; Tel: 04 93 99 25 54) opened in August with men and women's clothing, leather goods and luxury shoes.
HOTELS
Hotel 3.14 (Tel: 04 92 99 72 00; www.3-14hotel.com) opened Le Cink restaurant in December, where chef Mario d'Orio offers a menu inspired by travels around the world.
Concorde Hotels & Resorts launched a shopping package at Hotel Martinez (www.concorde-hotels.com). Guests are offered exclusive benefits as part of the package, which includes a night in a double guestroom with breakfast.
The deal includes 10 per cent discount at Annick Goutal Perfume; a museum visit with a welcome gift at Baccarat Crystal Glassworks; 10 per cent discount at Fauchon Fine Catering and Le Printemps Department Store; a EUR10 (£7.80) gift voucher at Sephora and 10 per cent discount on car rentals at Avis.
RESTAURANTS AND BARS
Salad bar Le Petit Palais opened in September, offering delegates a lighter choice for lunch. The former Farfalla reopened as Le Congres (1 boulevard de la Croisette) on 15 October.
Restaurant and tearoom Elle & Elle (18 rue Bivouac Napoleon) opened in May with a range of sandwiches and Mediterranean salads. Heater (12 rue Jean Daumas, Cannes; Tel +33(0) 4 93 68 12 10) opened in May. The restaurant features Mediterranean cooking with Asian and Latin American accents.
Dell'Arte (6 rue du Marechal Joffre; Tel: 04 93 38 11 94) opened in May with an Italian menu. Plage Les Dunes (Bd de la Croisette) opened 10 June. La Tonnelle Saint Honorat Island (Tel: 04 92 99 18 07) opened in April. Cafe Lenotre (63, rue d'Antibes) has been redesigned. The menu includes a vitamin breakfast, quiche Lorraine, and macaroons.
For post-dinner fun, head to Palm Club, which opened on Palm Beach in December, or New Cat (22 rue Mace), which opened in August. Cave Riviera wine cellar (7 rue Teisseire; tel: 04 93 38 82 17) opened in May, with Champagne and a wide selection of wines by the glass.
